Summary

IATA DGR: air transport rules for dangerous goods. Lithium batteries (UN3480/3481) are forbidden in cargo hold of passenger aircraft (PI 965/966/967 restrictions), require UN38.3 testing, State/operator approval and special documentation.

Applies when shipping dangerous goods (incl. lithium batteries) by air. Based on ICAO Technical Instructions, published annually by IATA.
