Summary

RoHS restricts hazardous substances (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE) in electrical and electronic equipment.

Scope

Applies to EEE within the categories of Annex I (household appliances, IT/telecom, consumer equipment, lighting, tools, toys, medical devices, etc.) placed on the EU market (Art. 2). Maximum concentration values in Annex II.
