Summary
WEEE Directive sets collection, recycling and recovery targets for electrical and electronic equipment; producer registration and marking obligations.
Scope
Applies to all EEE (Annexes I-II categories) including household appliances, IT, lighting, tools, toys, medical devices (Art. 2). Producers must register in each Member State, finance collection/recycling, and mark equipment with the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol.
