Scope
Applies to electrical equipment designed for use with a voltage rating between 50 and 1000 V for alternating current and between 75 and 1500 V for direct current (Art. 1).
Obligations for the manufacturer
- ▸ Affix CE marking and draw up the EU Declaration of Conformity
- ▸ Meet the essential safety objectives (Annex I): electric shock, fire, mechanical, radiation protection
- ▸ Keep technical documentation for 10 years
